Balloon Rides
Join a Balloon Crew!
We love having new people come out to learn more about our hot air balloons, learn how to become integral parts of our balloon crews, and usually get a free ride within just a few short weeks of joining a crew. All of our fully FAA-certificated pilots are experienced, use all the latest safety procedures and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-certified equipment, and are always glad to teach new people the "ropes" of our sport. Contact Us to get on a balloon crew, and see what it's all about!
Paid Balloon Rides
At this time, we have no available commercial pilots set up to do paid rides. We are working on it though! In the meantime, please Contact Us to see how we can help.

** Notice: Please be aware, all balloon flights are conducted within the limits of weather conditions and safety procedures. If the pilot feels weather or safety of the balloon and crew is not conducive for a flight, he or she will not fly that day, and will make his or her best ability to reschedule the flight at a later date, possibly even in the afternoon, or the following day. **
Flight Instruction
How to Fly a Balloon Yourself -- Become a Student Pilot
How would you like to learn how to fly your own hot air balloon someday? Some of our commercial pilots (who are also instructors) offer flight instruction, all for the cost of your share in balloon insurance and the propane that you use during your training flights. If you decide to buy your own balloon, our pilots usually just ask for breakfast after your flights! Our experienced commercial pilots will guide you through all aspects of learning how to fly, how to manage a crew, and how to maintain the balloon, all while in a safe and structured environment.
Private Pilot Certificate
A private pilot certificate allows a pilot to fly passengers in his/her balloon, fly in balloon rallies, and enjoy the sport within the confines of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), which govern general and commercial aviation (weather limits, pilot certification and rules, airspace regulations and restrictions, and flight rules. A private pilot cannot fly passengers for hire (accept compensation for more than their fair share of the balloon fuel, fly an advertising banner on his/her balloon, or teach others (with loggable hours) how to fly a balloon.
To receive a private balloon certificate, the Federal Aviation Administration requires at least 10 hours of flight training and 10 hours of ground school training. Most of the student pilots that have been trained by our commercial pilots get far more (usually between 20 and 30) hours before they are ready to take their checkride.
